Christoph Pepe Auer

Christoph Pepe Auer is a dynamic jazz artist and entrepreneur, known for his innovative approach to music. After completing his traditional jazz training at the University of Graz, Auer took the time to develop the sound for his electro-acoustic band, White Noise. The band’s debut album, Songs I Like, was nominated for “Best Sound” at the prestigious Amadeus Music Awards.

In addition to his numerous live performances, Auer contributes to the Austrian music scene as the head of Session Work Records, a record label he founded.

Auer has toured the world with his former group, the Christoph Pepe Auer Quartett, and as part of the duo Living Room with Manu Delago. His career has been marked by several accolades, including the Hans Koller Prize New York Scholarship in 2005, and the titles of Newcomer of the Year and Audience Award in 2007. His collaboration with the Tinka Steinhoff Agency followed a visit to jazzahead! in Bremen, leading to a 2017 album release in Germany and an international tour.

Known for his educational contributions, Auer also created two concert formats for young audiences, which have been showcased at major venues like jazzahead! 2019, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, and the Philharmonie in Cologne.

His latest album, White Noise, was released in September 2019, and his next album is scheduled for release in spring 2025. Auer’s work continues to make waves in both the jazz and broader music communities.
