Christoph Pepe Auer is a busy man and took his time for his first solo album. Apart from being involved in various projects and playing a lot of live concerts, working as the boss of the record label Session Work Records seems to have been a bit more labor-intensive than initially expected. On Songs I Like (Session Work Records) he reflects on his past and growing up with top 40 radio.

Under the name of “Living Room”, Christoph Pepe Auer has already toured with Manu Delago and the Christoph Pepe Auer Quartett in the past. In 2005 he won the Hans Koller Prize “Newcomer of the Year” and in 2007 the “New York Grant”. A visit to jazzahead! in Bremen resulted in a cooperation with the O-Tone Music agency, an abum release in Germany in 2017, and a tour. At jazzahead! 2019, he will be back in Bremen with a special project aimed at children.

His latest album “White Noise” was released in September 2019.
