BIOGRAPHY

Sabina Hank was born in Salzburg in 1976. In 1981 – at the age of five – she began attending Salzburg’s Mozarteum, and she received instruction in classical piano there for 13 years. From 1994 to 1999 she pursued studies in jazz piano and voice at Anton Bruckner University in Linz. Since 1997 she has pursued an international career as a freelance singer, pianist and composer. Sabina Hank has performed at international jazz festivals in Denmark, Morocco, Greece, France, Poland, Romania, the U.S., Mexico, Turkey, Austria, Germany, etc.

Hank has collaborated with Bob Mintzer, Benjamin Schmid, Werner Pirchner, Maria Schneider, Willi Resetarits, Leander Haussmann and others. She has composed music for the theater (Schauspielhaus Bochum, Vienna Volkstheater, Salzburg Landes­theater [State Theater]), film (orf/3sat) and various jazz and classical ensembles.
