BIOGRAPHY

Sixtus Preiss, a native of Vienna, came into contact with making music as a child and deepened his knowledge in a classical piano training. However, he also developed a fondness for old electrical junk, especially radios, which had to be taken apart and reassembled. After an ensuing technical education, Sixtus Preiss studied drums with Howard Curtis and Walter Grassmann and has been tinkering with sounds, beats & bass but also handmade microphones and amplifiers with great passion for years.

He is part of the Jazzwerkstatt Wien and has worked with many renowned artists and their productions over the years.
