Imagine entering a house with 12 rooms. This is where VIVIN have spent their last two years, working on their follow-up SEEDS since their debut album KAOS. What’s in these new rooms? The furnishings are diverse. IT’S ALL A PHASE, says a song title quite aptly, and deals with past stages of life. The album SEEDS lets us participate in this. Here we experience emotional highs and lows with the band. Lost love lives right next to the euphoria of a fresh infatuation. Self-doubt and social criticism share the rent with youthful arrogance. But what resonates in all rooms is a portion of confidence. And that brings us to the essentials – the masonry, so to speak, that surrounds all 12 rooms. “FLASH stands for the hope that pulls you back out of MISERY, picked up there in the form of a SEED and nurtured precious as a young plant to grow.” VIVIN
How does that sound now? There is one major change on VIVIN’s second album – they have once again picked up the guitar more often! Organic and synthetic sounds give themselves the handle in the hand. A sound that we also know from VIVIN’s former band project “Giantree”.
Ada Joachimsthaler, Franziska Kleinschmidt and Hele Maurer have been making music together for 10 years. With Klaus Zeiner and Thomas Voglreiter they find new rhythms and guitar sounds when the perform LIVE as well on the album SEEDS, which offers everything from rock to funk to ballads.
