BIOGRAPHY
Alejandro del Valle-Lattanzio is a Bogotá-born composer based in Vienna whose work moves between chamber, symphonic, multimedia, and film music, exploring the tension and dialogue between acoustic and electronic sound worlds. After early musical training in Colombia, he continued his studies in Vienna, focusing on composition, music theory, and electroacoustic music.
His catalogue spans solo, ensemble, and interdisciplinary works, marked by a strong sense of dramaturgy and sonic imagination. Two of his compositions are published by Universal Edition, and his orchestral work Musikmärchen was presented with the Tonkünstler Orchestra within the Ink Still Wet composer-conductor program.
Del Valle-Lattanzio’s work has been recognized with major Austrian and international prizes and commissions, including the Theodor Körner Prize, the Ö1 Composition Prize, and the Jenö Takács Composition Prize. Today, he develops a distinctive musical language that connects contemporary composition with cinematic and experimental aesthetics.
