BIOGRAPHY
Baubo Collective is a contemporary music duo, consisting of recorder player Lorina Vallaster and cellist Anna Maria Niemiec. Already in their unusual instrumentation the ensemble goes beyond the framework of a “traditional duo”. Enriched by extended playing techniques, prepared instruments, singing, gestures, language, acting elements – the means to present performances of “classical” music in a new way and to break up the habitual constructs are multitudinous. In this way, Baubo Collective breaks up traditional conceptions and enables unexpected sound experiences.
