M4Music returns to Zurich on March 20–21, 2026 as one of Switzerland’s key showcase festivals for emerging pop music. The event combines over 40 live shows across five stages with a conference, demotape clinic, and industry networking program. Known for blending Swiss talent with international acts, M4Music focuses on genres like indie, electronic, hip-hop, and pop, offering a platform for new artists alongside established names. Beyond the concerts, the festival’s conference and Demotape Clinic make it a central meeting point for the music industry—where artists, labels, and media connect, and the next wave of talent gets discovered. This year, we are more than pleased to see three fantastic Austrian artists on the festival bill: lovehead, Cordoba78 and Laurenz Nikolaus.
Austrian Acts at m4music
This band has officially been around for just a year, yet they’ve already made a significant mark on the festival scene. Their debut album “Denkst du an mich?” – released in January 2025 – cracked the million-stream mark in no time, and since then, the all-girls trio from Austria has seemingly been on tour non-stop. Nevertheless, they’ve released four new songs this year, all packed with serious earworm potential: honest indie pop with relatable lyrics and a straightforward stage presence. Live, laugh, lovehead.
Concert: FR 3/20/2026 – 8:00 PM – Box
Cordoba78
Let’s get one thing straight: Cordoba78 is no god. That’s what the five-member band from Austria’s Vorarlberg sings about in their self-titled single. But the idea that these guys will remain “nobodies” seems highly unlikely – with heartfelt songs and striking arrangements, they’re playing their way straight into the hearts of a rapidly growing fanbase. Live, the band promises an electrifying show to scream along, dance to – and, hopefully, fall in love with. A collective euphoria with substance.
Concert: SA 3/21/2026 – 8:45 PM – Moods
Laurenz Nikolaus
The musical treasure chest of Vienna’s indie-pop trio Laurenz Nikolaus is packed to the brim with honest yet sophisticated lyrics, melodies ranging from melancholic to refreshingly light, and above all: a whole lot of emotion. The finely tuned mix of neo-Austropop and traditional Viennese song, sprinkled with elements of chanson, places this rising star somewhere between Hirsch and Voodoo Jürgens – but with its very own sound and genuine attitude. So, put on your headphones, turn up the volume, and take a mental stroll through Vienna’s rainy streets. Or better yet: immerse yourself in the uplifting rhythms live at m4music, where this newcomer band will leave you with a persistent Viennese earworm.
