Share Music Sweden is looking for a composer who would like to be part of the artistic team in the collaboration between Share Music Sweden and ensemble Gageego! Central to this project is the exploration of traditional chamber music and established instruments versus music played using new technology.
Gagegoo! will for this project consist of 2 percussionists, piano, flute and 2 string instruments. The ensemble from Share Music will consist of 4-6 members playing on devices/instruments within the music/technology field e g soundbeam, Skoog, eye-tracking devices etc.
A collaborative process
As the composer you will be responsible for our commission work based upon a collaborative compositional process. The artistic team will also include one person specialised in the technology field.
The core of the project is to create a new work for ensemble Gageego! and an ensemble from Share Music Sweden. The final goal is to produce a series of concerts to be performed in a variety of venues across Sweden and internationally.
Approximate duration of composition: 30-40 min. The composer will need to allocate approximately 10-15 days in Sweden for workshops and meetings.
