FM4 Soundpark is a web platform, community, and radio show for and with Austrian musicians. In an ongoing collaboration, FM4’s team recommends particular artists of the moment to amplify. Today, the honor goes to: A Deep Breath Out – Filiah‘s new album.

Austrian singer-songwriter Filiah releases A Deep Breath Out, a wonderful pop album about coming to terms with oneself. With big choruses, quiet moments, expressive vocals, and a balanced, international-sounding production, it is a dazzling work about letting go of old defense mechanisms—a deeply honest and cathartic album.

On her new album the artist looks back on a transformative chapter of her life with remarkable honesty and compassion. Drawing on songs written over the past seven years, the Austrian singer-songwriter reflects on burnout, self-doubt, healing, and personal growth, turning difficult experiences into music that feels both intimate and empowering. Rather than dwelling in melancholy, the album embraces vulnerability as a path toward strength, reconciliation, and hope.

Across songs such as “Adapt,” “Method Acting”, “People Just Change,” and the poignant centerpiece “Playground Vision,” Filiah explores themes of identity, self-worth, change, and acceptance. Produced together with Thomas Böck, A Deep Breath Out balances delicate songwriting with moments of soaring pop and emotional clarity. The result is a deeply personal record that feels like the closing of a long chapter—a gentle but powerful reminder that even the hardest seasons eventually pass, and that growth begins when we learn to meet ourselves with kindness.
