FM4 Soundpark is a web platform, community, and radio show for and with Austrian musicians. In an ongoing collaboration, FM4’s team recommends particular artists of the moment to amplify. Today, the honor goes to: Jaden Sade.

Jaden Sade, one of Austria’s most exciting newcomers, recently released his fifth album, “Stardust Through Decades”. The Vienna-based independent artist, who put out his debut “endless time” in 2024, writes music that flows naturally out of him: hazy bedroom pop for three-in-the-morning moments, when your head is having a decent day instead of crawling into its darkest corners. The album is a self-contained circle, with each song referencing another before all are recalled in the closing track — a work meant to be experienced as an album, a secret world, a rabbit hole, rather than streaming-service filler. It’s about growing older without necessarily growing wiser or happier, about life here and now and far beyond — after all, stars are ancient things, and so are songs as good as these.

On the streaming platforms we can’t quite trust but can’t quite avoid, you’ll find Sade’s music tucked into playlists like “Queers & Queens” or “Cuddle & Chill” — titles that only hint at what these songs really hold. The line “From outside I glow” from “Everybody Knows” captures something beautiful: the mask we put back on every time we leave the house, while everyone assumes we’re fine and few ever ask. But in the evening, at least, there’s a quick retreat back to the bedroom — that den, that burrow — where all that matters is that it feels cozy. A song of stars, indeed.
