FM4 Soundpark is a web platform, community, and radio show for and with Austrian musicians. In an ongoing collaboration, FM4’s team recommends particular artists of the moment to amplify. Today, the honor goes to: Tamara Flores.

Pop as a “Gesamtkunstwerk”

Tamara Flores: Pop as a “Gesamtkunstwerk” (total work of art). No boundaries, no rules: the 28-year-old musician is about to turn the Viennese pop world upside down.

Tamara Flores doesn’t make “songs” so much as mini worlds: music, choreography, styling, and video all locked together like a single piece. Her latest single “Infinito” is peak Flores—synthpop with breakbeats that suddenly opens into strings, flute, and operatic flair, powered by Spanish lines about living without borders, rules, or masks.

Born in Vienna to a Mexican mother and Austrian father, she’s always moved between cultures and disciplines: classical musical training, dance (ballet to hip-hop), and later a personal artistic boost that clicked during an exchange in Buenos Aires, where improvisation and songwriting became the focus.

The breakout “Chingona” didn’t just introduce her—it catapulted her into major FM4 attention, helped by a video shot in Acatlán that turned into a full community production. Next up: more releases, more shows, and a live setup that can switch from intimate acoustic to full-on dance performance.
