MIL returns from October 8 to 11, 2025 in Lisbon. MIL focuses on the discovery, promotion, appreciation, and internationalization of contemporary popular music. In a showcase and convention format, MIL anticipates future trends and promotes debates on the topics that will shape the future of music and culture. Deadline to apply is June 15, 2025.
Applications from artists and bands for MIL 2025 are now open. Until 15 June, the festival is accepting applications from solo artists and collective artistic projects to perform at its 9th edition, which will take place from 8 to 11 October at the Beato in Lisbon.
This year, the MIL Lisboa programme has been extended to four days. This year, from 8 to 11 October, the festival and the convention will occupy the same space, with all activities taking place in the Beato area.
As always, the festival’s main objective is to showcase emerging global music, with a particular focus on southern European countries. It also aims to build bridges between Portugal and other Portuguese-speaking countries, particularly the significant Brazilian market. Several partnerships have already been established with festivals and showcases in Brazil.
