It’s well known that the world of jazz is far too male-dominated and therefore Studio Nord Bremen is awarding a scholarship this year to young female and non-binary jazz bands with the perfect start-up package! Deadline to apply is May 31, 2025.
INCLUDED in scholarship:
- 2-day recording session at Studio Nord Bremen
- Post-production of the recordings
- Professional photo shoot
- Coaching on booking and marketing
- Live concert in the recording studio incl. live recording and video recording in the concert series SNB Sessions directly on the day after the recording session
- Overnight stay in the apartment directly above the studio for a maximum of 10 people in 5 rooms
Requirements to apply:
- Average age of the band at the time of application: maximum 30 years
- Female or non-binary share of the band: at least 60%
- You should see your music as jazz
- Deadline for applications is 31st of May 2025
- After the deadline, the top-class jury will carefully review all applications and decide on an ensemble.
- Together with you, they will then find a date for the work phase in the fall or winter.
