BIOGRAPHY
BEX is an up-and-coming Viennese artist. Born in Ghana, she found her way to music partly with the help of a friend, who convinced her to pursue her passion for poetry – a passion that allowed her to begin expressing herself authentically. Since 2021 she has been working on her sound, combining her self-confidence and skills with just the right amount of explicit content to offer listeners a break from their own reality and an escape into her fantasy.
Her artistic debut took the form of two features on W1ZE’s EP Down Low, nominated for the 2022 Amadeus Award for best sound. The Nono Punch-produced track “Bounce” showed off her versatility, fusing her rhymes and flow effortlessly with the beat to make the perfect powerhouse banger. “Bounce” marked her first appearance in the FM4 charts; the second came with her own debut single “Midnight Playground” in November 2022.
One thing’s for sure: from BEX, you can always expect the unexpected. In the words of her personal motto, a line from rap legend Lil’ Wayne: “Real G’s move in silence like lasagna.”
