BIOGRAPHY

As one of Austria’s busiest and most sought-after jazz pianists, David Helbock has always been a musician full of surprises. He has released almost 25 albums as a leader, the last six of them with the renowned jazz label ACT from Germany. David Helbock is a multiple prize-winner at the world’s biggest jazz piano solo competition in Montreux (CH) and was also awarded the “Outstanding Artist Award” from the state of Austria.

His main projects in recent years include his band “Austrian Syndicate” (together with Peter Madsen, Raphael Preuschl, Herbert Pirker & Claudio Spieler), a duo with the French rising star singer Camille Bertault, solopiano performances, and different trios, mainly his long-time collaboration with “Random/Control” (Johannes Bär & Andreas Broger).

David Helbock has performed thousands of concerts worldwide on all continents and is a frequent guest at all major international jazz festivals.
