BIOGRAPHY

Boundaries between genres and remaining in the same musical position are, it seems, completely alien to this duo.
Tyrolean clarinettist Johanna Gossner and Vorarlberg accordionist Damian Keller form the Duo Minerva and show what exciting new things can be created when you break away from all musical traditions.
musical traditions. The two come from a classical background, but know how to skilfully expand it to include modern forms of music. As you can hear on their latest album ‘Sound of Servus’, the result is an artful crossover sound that draws on a wide variety of genres, such as Alpine folk music and avant-garde, and develops its very own character.
The masterpieces of classical music, reworked by the pair with great finesse and a good dose of wit, experience a wonderful revival, shine in a new light and tell their stories in an elegant tone in a way that has never been heard before.

Damian Keller – accordion
