BIOGRAPHY

Moreland, hailing from Innsbruck, Austria, burst onto the music scene with a bang in 2020. In the face of adversity in the music industry, Dwight (Sax and Vocals) and Aaron (Guitar) joined forces early in 2020 to bring their unique take on soul music to life. This dynamic duo quickly made waves in Innsbruck, blending Dwight’s Atlanta, GA soul roots with Aaron’s emotional guitar skills.

Their musical journey didn’t stop there. They soon welcomed Alex Figl (Bass Guitar), Christoph Pfister (Drums), Christoph Kuntner (Guitar), and Moritz Weber (Keys) to form Moreland. Later, they added a brass section led by Simon Strobl (Saxophone).

With the release of their first album, “LETTERS,” and numerous shows in Innsbruck, Moreland’s fan base grew. They were invited to perform at major events such as the Jazzfestival Saalfelden, New Orleans Festival Innsbruck, and Kufstein Unlimited. They even played at venues and festivals in Spain, like the Mas i Mas festival in Barcelona, where they sold out shows at the Jamboree Jazz Club. Their music also reached across the English Channel with performances at the Amazing Grace Club and Phoenix Arts Club in London.

Excitingly, in 2023, Moreland  released their second album, “OVERDRIVE.” Get ready for the next chapter in the musical journey of Moreland.
