TURBOBIER – Austria’s ultimate rock-band from Vienna Simmering established beginning of 2014. Half a year later, after a few titles and concerts within the ‚scene‘, the band shot to fame on YouTube with the Helene Fischer cover version ‚Arbeitslos‘. This spur of the moment cloak-and-dagger quickie has been viewed over 1.2 million times and a newly arranged, banging punk version has been released on the album ‚Irokesentango‘. The band kicked off the Nova Rock festival on the main stage in front of 10,000 people and the album achieved the 14th place in the official Austrian album charts.
Furthermore, the album paved the way to their first nomination of the most prestigious Austrian music award. TURBOBIER won the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in April 2016 in the category Hard & Heavy.In January 2017, the band released their second studio album ‚Das Neue Festament‘ under the own label of frontman Marco Pogo – ‚Pogo’s Empire‘-
which went straight to No.1 in the official Austrian album charts. During the summer months TURBOBIER played on numerous festivals like the Wacken Open Air, Summer Breeze, Big Day Out, Frequency Festival, Open Flair and many more. In 2018, TURBOBIER was once again nominated for Austria’s biggest music award.
The band is relentlessly touring all over Europe, hitting major festivals like Nova Rock (Austria), Rockavaria (Germany) and Open Air Gampel (Switzerland) this summer.
Till that, TURBOBIER will enlarge their touring circuit and gonna play their first Japanese tour in September 2018.
