FM4 Soundpark is a web platform, community, and radio show for and with Austrian musicians. In an ongoing collaboration, FM4’s team recommends particular artists of the moment to amplify. Today, the honor goes to: Dorian Concept‘s “Miniatures”.

Viennese keyboard auteur Dorian Concept speaks with FM4 about his new album Miniatures—a collection that wasn’t originally conceived as an album. He stacked short, reduced, hypnotic melodies as a side practice and posted them as brief performance videos; after fans kept asking for a release, he compiled them to capture a specific creative phase. Recently, his improvisation “Hide” went unintentionally viral as the soundtrack to TikTok’s “Dark Fantasy” aesthetic, spawning covers and rap samples—and forcing him to navigate copyright issues from the other side. With his deal at Brainfeeder now finished, he’s embracing independence to release quickly and keep experimenting. He hints that Miniatures, alongside Music From A Room Full Of Synths, may signal a live-focused period and teases broader audiovisual ambitions.
