On the 1st of October, Waves (October 2-4, 2025) will be opening the 15th Waves Vienna with a very special Opening Night at the magnificent Volkstheater in Vienna, and of course they’ve come up with something special to mark the anniversary…
The evening will be hosted by none other than OSKA – and she will not only be bringing her new album “Refined Believer” (released on 20 June) with her, but also a number of great guests with whom she will be shaping the evening’s programme.
The line-up includes Christina Stürmer, Josh., Yasmo, Oskar Haag and Hans Platzgumer – with more surprises to follow! And best of all: the net proceeds from the evening will go directly towards a new residency programme in the UK, which will take place in spring 2026. The call for applications for this will start immediately after the festival and is aimed at Austrian acts, and following the show, the first outcomes of the new Waves Vienna Residency Lab, which will take place from 29 September to 1 October, will be presented in the Rote Bar of the Volkstheater. Afterwards, before and during, there will be DJs and drinks.
