BIOGRAPHY

Candlelight Ficus is no longer a common houseplant – the band has grown into a big musical tree, that thrives like crazy. The trunk: stable and solid – four creative musicians deeply rooted in groove. The branches: spaciously spreading out to all sides – guest musicians, extending the growth. The whole tree: gently trimmed like pop-music, down to earth like soul, archaic like RnB and enriched with latin-grooves. Even some experimental thorns are shooting up into the sky – a funky natural event. No borders, no limits! The young funk-pop- collective was among the top performers in the national qualifying round for the Eurovision Song Contest. The outcome: 12 new songs and their first full-length album “Golden Life”. Catchy and hip on one side (A), individualistic on the other (B). And since many young people can no longer see the forest for the trees, Candlelight Ficus more than ever seeks for the meaning of life in the middle of our affluent society.

The music is a well-crafted symbiosis of energetic vibes, musical craftsmanship, meaningful lyrics and an extraordinary live experience. The Ficus grows bigger than ever and shines brighter than any candlelight. The sun is up, the feel-good-funk-package is here.
