BIOGRAPHY

Coshiva, a Salzburg-born singer-songwriter, has captivated growing audiences with her positive vibes and uplifting music. As a multi-instrumentalist, she blends piano, guitar, mandolin, and ukulele to create her signature joyful sound. The name Coshiva was created by the artist herself, symbolizing the light-heartedness and positivity that define her music.

Coshiva’s journey began in 2003 with her critically acclaimed debut album, A Thousand Miles Away, which featured the radio hit “Leaving Today”. Her follow-up album, Butterfly, was released in 2008 and was met with commercial success. Despite this, she chose to remain independent, rejecting offers from major labels to maintain creative control and direction over her music. While she recently embraced the support of a major label, Coshiva continues to exemplify “home-grown” success—proof that honest, heartfelt music can thrive without relying on mass exposure or big marketing campaigns.

In 2012, Coshiva worked with producer Sandi Strmlian on a new album, which produced the instant summer hit “Sunday Afternoon (We Are Sailing).” The album retained her signature light, joyful sound, blending delicate, often fragile vocals with natural, “hand-made” instrumental timbres. Coshiva’s melodic singer-songwriter pop reaches international audiences effortlessly, proving that she doesn’t need to shout to be heard.
