BIOGRAPHY

Crack Ignaz from Salzburg has already made international waves with his interpretation of hip hop: The so called “King of the Alps” is constantly on tour, already entered the charts with “Geld Leben” in 2016. In the same year he published his album “Aurora”, which he wrote in collaboration with LGoony.

After a two-year hiatus, he released his third album, “Sturm & Drang”, in August 2020. The album deals with relationships on several levels – the relationship to one’s own language, relationships to places (and non-places) where music is created, and relationships between sounds. It’s also a reflection on the relationship to oneself. “Sturm & Drang” is a rebranding, a new beginning, the result of a temporary withdrawal from any kind of scene.

“Sturm & Drang” is also an international album. Together with BVRGER, a producer from Rome, Ignaz spent time in European cities, settled in apartments and studios and worked on songs and sounds. On the album you can hear the happiness of spring in Barcelona, the sadness of a cold Berlin in fall, the never-ending rush hour of London, the leisureliness of Vienna and the kitsch of the magnificent buildings of Rome.
