BIOGRAPHY

Established in 1996 Dornenreich from Tyrol have continously been exploring the depths of existence artistically for the last decades. Over the years they created eight albums relying on poetic and spiritual German lyrics. These albums are ranging from avantgarde-black-metal to purely acoustic expression the band refers to as “intense – mystic – timeless”. As a consequence of the fact that some of their albums were labeled as milestones in metal by international music critics it does not surprise that the band played at renowned festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Summer Breeze and Wave-Gotik-Treffen even ten and fifteen years ago, headlined numerous club-tours across Europe and charted two times (“Flammentriebe” – DE 58; “Freiheit” – DE 56).

In 2009 Dornenreich released a DVD including their headliner-show at the 2007 edition of the Summer Breeze-Festival. The band is still active working on new songs and playing very special acoustic shows in selected locations such as churches and caves which help their transcending expression to come into atmospheric bloom.
