FM4 Soundpark is a web platform, community, and radio show for and with Austrian musicians. In an ongoing collaboration, FM4’s team recommends particular artists of the moment to amplify. Today, the honor goes to: FARCE sharpens her signature sound on her third album, “The Label”.
The Label
With her third album, The Label, Vienna-based artist FARCE further refines her distinctive sound, blending heavy guitar riffs, driving beats and bittersweet emotion into ten concise, high-energy tracks. Drawing on influences ranging from classical music and emo to noise, metal and pop, the album explores themes of growing up, identity and self-definition. Opening track “Deeply Strange People” reflects on family dynamics and the tension between inherited patterns and personal responsibility, while songs like “Cherry Angioma” balance nostalgic melancholy with infectious energy.
Created over the course of a year in collaboration with fellow musician Sakura and mixed by Lara Voill, The Label was released entirely independently. The album’s title refers not to a record label but to the labels people assign to themselves and others. Rather than following trends, FARCE continues to develop a carefully crafted sound of her own—one that is loud, direct and emotionally precise. As she puts it: “I didn’t want to drift along. I wanted to make a few clear statements in 27 minutes.”
The Label was released on June 26, 2026.
