BERGLIND is the solo project of Giovanna Fartacek, who first gained recognition as part of the band MYNTH, winners of the 2019 Amadeus Austrian Music Award. Drawing inspiration from her dreams, personal experiences, and the ups and downs of daily life, BERGLIND creates haunting German pop songs that blend melancholy with poetic depth. Her music invites listeners into intimate worlds, reflecting on themes like old scars, fleeting moments, and the bittersweet nature of life.
Her debut single, “Träum lauter” (“Dream Louder”), was released in spring 2022 and quickly made its way onto Austria’s cult-radio FM4. Her second single, “Bleib” (“Stay”), continued the momentum, earning a spot on FM4’s Yearly Charts. With just two singles, BERGLIND earned a nomination for the XA Award at Waves Festival and performed at the prestigious Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg.
In autumn 2023, she released her long-awaited debut album, further establishing her distinct voice in the Austrian music scene. Now in 2025, BERGLIND continues to captivate audiences with her emotive sound and introspective lyrics, cementing her place as one of the most exciting emerging artists in the German-speaking music world.
