BIOGRAPHY
The two siblings Mira (violin) and Sara Gregorič (guitar) have been making music together since childhood and have developed their own musical language over the years. This is characterised by a great stylistic diversity. The two musicians are adept at building bridges between different genres. They draw on jazz as well as classical and Carinthian-Slovenian folk music and weave elements of these genres together in the most beautiful crossover style to create an elegant and varied sound that creates a great atmosphere and conveys many colours of emotion. The music of Mira and Sara Gregorič is one that you can immerse yourself in deeply, that is highly moving and invites you to dream in the most beautiful way.
The Carinthian duo’s second album, ‘Sonoma II’, was released in 2024.
Duo Sonoma was chosen for NASOM 25/26. A sponsorship program by the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs (BMEIA).
