BIOGRAPHY
The Austrian indie-pop band GARISH are one of the most well known representatives of non-mainstream German-language music. Their trademarks include a unique instrumentation, and the almost poetic lyrical approach of singer Thomas Jarmer. The band releases there recordings across the entire German speaking market and has built up a loyal audience in Austria.
The career of the band is a success story. Countless awards and nominations – Thomas Jarmer, Christoph Jarmer, Julian Schneeberger, Kurt Grath, and Markus Perner have received three nominations for the Amadeus Music Award. Critical acclaim for their albums have helped make the band from Burgenland a name both at home and abroad.
