BIOGRAPHY

What GRANADA have accomplished since their debut album in 2016 is something to be proud of. Their songs have several million plays on YouTube and Spotify. They were nominated for 2 Amadeus Awards and their charming songs were played on radio stations in German-speaking countries. They were on tour with Sportfreunde Stiller, have since advanced to be headliners at many festivals and can look back on sold-out concerts in Munich, Nuremberg, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Berlin and various Austrian cities.

In June 2018 the band released their second album “Ge Bitte” and Granada will be on an extensive tour for their second album – after the summer festivals – in November/December.

So what is the secret to Granada’s success? The five musicians combine good old Indie à la The Strokes, Vampire Weekend and The Hives with catchy vocals, accordion, and grumpy dialect seasoned with a good dose of humor. Live the band grabs you so hard that you will unselfconsiously be singing along after the second number. After a concert the “Nürnberger Nachrichten” wrote : “The band is self-confident, but not aloof, sweaty, but not rough, intelligent, but not artsy, and in any case very far away from Vienna”. That’s okay, Granada are from Graz.
