BIOGRAPHY
Salzburg native PETER KRONREIF has been sought-after drummer for artists of many styles and genres as well as a distinguished creator of music in his own rank. Now on the New York jazz scene for the past 10 years, he gained a lot of experience as a young player performing with jazz greats in the European scene – working with, amongst others Harry Sokal, Matthieu Michel, Martin Reiter & Alegre Correa brought him on tour in over 20 nations and he was awarded the Hans-Koller-Prize as “Sideman of the Year”. As a composer and bandleader Kronreif has released two albums thus far: “Gloaming” (Session Work Records 2010) and “Aeronautics” (Fresh Sound New Talent 2021). His music has been praised by BayernKlassik Online as “truly a discovery,” and Kronreif as “a drummer of great refinement” and by GoldmineMag as “mystifying, eclectic, adventurous and ultimately satisfying”.
