BIOGRAPHY

Founded in 2013, they achieved first successes in 2014. With “Sub Divide” finally the show of one of the most stringent live bands in Vienna has arrived. This album brings together all the haunting and newly recorded hits of this agile and sympathetic quartet. These are gaudy fireworks of short, but catchy hits in which Lime Crush negotiate existential topics (loneliness, patriarchy, misguided police operations, …) surprisingly joyful and present them in a bewitching matting between punk breakout and daring Sixties psychedelics.

It impresses not only by successful and organically inserting guest appearances by, the band related and both in DIY spirit and musical interest associated, wonderful musicians like Nadia Buyse (Dubais), Adrienne Berry (Ted Leo and The Pharmacists, Downtown Boys) or The K-Records legend Calvin Johnson, but also surprises with exquisite cover versions that can not be revealed, because they are also simply too good and would devour superlatives. The cover comes from the versatile queer icon Ashley Hans Scheirl and packs abstractly a utopian optimistic album, which gives much needed hope and catchy distraction.
