In the flood of live streams and digital musical offerings, we still often miss the ‘real’ thing; the atmosphere of a live musical exchange and experience – but help is here! Until we are able to go out and enjoy concerts and festivals from our favourite bands again, we can keep ourselves entertained with the wealth of wonderful live recordings getting produced by these talented artists. We’ve been curating playlists with such performances from this year’s NASOM Acts via three different channels: Spotify, Soundcloud and YouTube. This way you can enjoy the captured ambiance of live concerts wherever and however you want.
These playlists offer a vibrant mix of diverse genres, ranging from Classical Music to Jazz, World Music, Contemporary Music and Pop, selectively curated to fit into each other and take you into the flow of a 25 band line-up from the comfort of your living room, the park, or while walking the dog.
If you are feeling particularly melancholic about live music, our YouTube playlist with powerful visuals might offer yet more relief.
New Austrian Sound of Music – aka NASOM – is a long-term sponsorship program by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs (BMEIA), promoting young emerging Austrian and Austria-based bands and musicians performing abroad. Find more information about the program here.
